Austrian director Michael Haneke wins for the second time - after 2009 for the "The White Ribbon - the Palme d'Or of the Cannes Film Festival.

The touching story "Amour" with an atypically tender touch by Haneke is about an octogenarian husband and wife facing their mortality, beautifully played by the French actors Jean-Louis Trintignant and Emmanuelle Riva.

Michael Hanekes thanks went to the fantastic main actors and his team, as well as to his wife Susanne, who is supporting him for over 30 years.
