Built in 1934/1935 as a slender towering and cubic building, the house is located between the Hoher Markt and the Lugeck. Lamee House opened in November 2021 and is currently undergoing a soft refurbishment. The interior embodies the Vienna of the 1930s.
The hotel has 32 rooms ranging in size from 22 to 55m², including 10 suites with views of St. Stephen's Cathedral.
The rooms have honey-colored shimmering walls, warm light and playfully differentiated, high-gloss Makassar wood paneling with precious tassels and brass profiles. The furnishings and details define a nod to the mundanity of the period. Much use was made of marble in the bathrooms. On the roof of the Lamee House is the Lamée Rooftop bar with breathtaking views of St. Stephen's Cathedral and downtown Vienna.
Style of the house: 30s
There is no parking in front of the hotel, but the parking garage at Rotenturmstraße or the parking garage at Kleeblattgasse are only a few minutes walk away.
