The bread factory in the Viennese district of Favoriten was founded in 1891 and was the largest bakery in Europe until the interwar period.
Since 2009, a loft project with multifunctional halls, galleries, studios, showrooms and offices has been under construction on the disused oldest part of the factory site, in the immediate vicinity of the still existing bread and pastry production of Ankerbrot. By attracting cultural institutions such as Hilger Next, OstLicht, Anzenberger Lichterloh and Deutsche Pop, the site is rapidly becoming a decentralized cultural hot spot.
The former Anker Expedition Hall regularly hosts theater, dance and music performances, as well as exhibitions. During the revitalization, care was taken not only to preserve the listed historic buildings. A modern infrastructure was achieved by staircases and elevator towers in exposed concrete, which represent a deliberate contrast to the industrial architecture of the 19th century in brick optics.
Size of the entire site: 16.000 m², size of former anchor expedition hall: 2.200 m² (no columns).
The "Concordia Haus" is one of Vienna's oldest and most precious buildings.

F23.wir.fabriken is taking a former industrial site in Atzgersdorf and developing it into a cultural focal point for the entire 23rd district. While preserving the Art Deco exterior of the building – which is under a historical preservation order and cannot be altered – it will transform its 12,000 square metre interior into new, modern spaces with modern technology. F23 will become an open centre for cultural projects and activities.
The project is an extremely collaborative one, involving IG F23 (a non-profit organisation), multiple departments of the City of Vienna, municipal officials from the district where the centre is located, and various cultural projects and partners.
Gerstner Salons Privés in Palais Todesco are situated in a prominent location opposite the Vienna State Opera and are among the most breathtaking locations in the city. Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) spent his last twelve years in Gumpendorf, at that time still the outermost suburb of Vienna. He acquired his house between his journeys to England, added a floor to it and moved into it in 1797 at the age of 65. He also died here on May 31, 1809. On the 200th anniversary of his death in 2009, the permanent exhibition in the Haydnhaus was completely redesigned. There is a focus on the last years of the composer's life, which are linked to the political and social environment of his time. The garden of the house was reconstructed according to historical models and is open to visitors - a green oasis not far from the busy Mariahilfer Strasse.

A hotel that is not like a hotel, but in fact much more: a home away from home. It is like visiting friends or old acquaintances only with better breakfast and comfortable beds. With us you should be able to leave everyday life behind, feel good and be spoiled. For example with a sauna visit in our spa or in summer enjoying an ice cream in our garden. MQ Main Courtyard (c) Hertha Hurnaus
Located in the heart of one of Vienna’s oldest and most beautiful areas, the first district, you will find the famous Palais Ferstel. The young architect Heinrich von Ferstel created this Palais between 1856 and 1860 while he was captivated by the impressions of a long visit to Italy. The unique combination of Venetian-Florentine Trecento architecture with classic ashlar masonry has rendered this building one of Vienna’s grandest and most interesting examples of Wilhelminian-style architecture. At the time of its opening in 1860, the Palais Ferstel was the newest design in Vienna. The stylish rooms and the glass-covered yard not only briefly housed the Vienna Stock Exchange and the Austro-Hungarian National Bank but also provided a suitable ambience for the famous Cafe Central which became the hub of Europe’s intellectual elite towards the end of the 19th Century. Today the Palais Ferstel still captures one’s imagination with its perfect combination of various architectural styles and represents a refreshing symbiosis of impressive architecture in a classical surrounding with state-of-the-art facilities. Its sympathetic restoration, which remained true to the original down to the very last detail, has returned the building to its former splendour. At the same time, all the requirements of contemporary living have been fully taken into consideration.

The Spanish Riding School in Vienna is the only institution in the world which has practiced for over 430 years and continues to cultivate classical equitation in the Renaissance tradition of the haute école.
The objective of classical equitation is to study the way the horse naturally moves and to cultivate the highest levels of haute école elegance the horse is capable of through systematic training. The result creates an unparalleled harmony between rider and horse, as only Vienna's Spanish Riding School achieves.
The MuseumsQuartier complex is accessed from passageways on all sides. Elongated, barrel-vaulted passages dating back to the baroque era connect the individual courtyards to one another. A Q21 initiative saw the establishment of several “micro museums” within the MQ complex in the form of themed passages. Permanent ceiling paintings are complemented by changing exhibitions shown in the passages, programmed by external curators.
The STREET ART PASSAGE VIENNA as public space presents works by international and local street artists. A permanent installation titled “Invaded Bridge” was conceptualized by French artist Invader, and Lois Weinberger provided the passage with a permanent text installation on the elevator tower.
