The Kahlenberg is located in the Vienna Woods and is one of the most popular excursion destinations for the city’s residents. At the highest point of the mountain is the Stefaniewarte. This 22 metre-tall viewing tower was built in 1887 and named after Crown Princess Stefanie of Belgium. Just below the summit stands the Baroque St. Joseph's Church, whose black Madonna made it a popular pilgrimage church.

The hiking trail 5 leads from Stammersdorf to Falkenberg (Bisamberg) with its ten hectares area. At the 10 kilometer long tour are numerous vineyards, wine cellars, wine taverns, meadows and fields. The Senderstraße, one of the oldest and most beautiful wine cellar lanes of Vienna, leads to the Unterer Senderrundweg with a magnificent view over the city.
Vienna's Cobenzl Winery is one of the most important Viennese wineries and has been owned by the City of Vienna for over 110 years. The Cobenzl winery cultivates around 60 hectares of vineyards in Grinzing, on the Nussberg and on the Bisamberg. The vineyards, with resonant names such as Ried Pfeffer, Ried Seidenhaus and Ried Bellevue ("Beautiful View"), are among the best sites in the city and offer a magnificent view of the metropolis.
Nowadays, the winery is part of the Forestry and Agriculture Department of the City of Vienna (MA 49).
