Graben - one of the most famous streets of Vienna - has its beginning at Stock-im-Eisen-Platz and ends at the tee junction between Kohlmarkt and Tuchlauben. Already in the times of monarchy Graben was an exclusive shopping street. Thats why you will find besides pompous buildings many traditional shops. The pedestrian zone is named after the former moat of the castrum Vindobona.
