PALAIS HANSEN KEMPINSKI VIENNA
The 5-Star Superior Palais Hansen Kempinski provides 152 elegant rooms and suits on three levels. Two bars, a cigar lounge, a spa and a fitness area as well as eight event halls and a ball room.
Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt, one of the most renowned architects of his time, designed the Palais Schönburg, located in the heart of Vienna, and surrounded by a 15.000 square meter park. Other famous buildings designed by Hildebrandt are the Belvedere Palace and the St. Peter’s Church in Vienna. The palace was constructed between the years 1700 and 1706 on behalf of Earl Gundakar Starhemberg. On account of its remarkable acoustics, world famous musicians including Leonard Bernstein, Nikolaus Harnoncourt and his Concentus Musicus Vienna, the Wiener Konzerthaus-Quartet, Alfred Brendel and many more, chose this location during the 1960s and 70s to perform and record their work.
The Baroque jewel is located in Vienna’s fourth district, at Rainergasse 11, approximately one kilometre away from the Vienna Opera. The building and the park were recently completely renovated and are now resplendent in new brilliance. Since the summer of 2008, the beautiful “Residence for your Events” can be rented for parties and other events.
The Palais Schönburg provides high voltage power lines (indoors and outdoors), an AC system, elevators and wifi as well as a large catering area.
The Restaurant Schubert is a spacious restaurant with several, partly lavishly designed rooms. It is suitable as a film location, as a base camp or for crew catering. The restaurant has a terrace, a garden and a salettl. The rooms range from a baroque "Kuppelzimmer" with an elaborate ceiling fresco, a modern and cosy fireplace room to a rustic "Nussstube". An office and a small apartment with about 35 square meters each are also available.
The restaurant is located at the foot of the medieval Mölker Bastei (original Schottenbastei), next to the romantic backdrop of the Drei-Mäderl-Haus and the Beethoven/Pasqualati-Haus. The Mölkerbastei was built in 1531, in 1776 the "Schreyvogelgasse" (pedestrian zone with cobblestone pavement) was built on it. House no. 6 with its classicist façade was built in 1771, neighbouring house no. 8 with its late Baroque façade at the end of the 18th century.
In the immediate vicinity are the Burgtheater, the main university of Vienna, the town hall and the Ringstrasse.
