Werkstatt Kooperative – Makeup FX, Rental & Studio Space
Established in 2001 by Christian Alfred Kahrer, MSc, Werkstatt Kooperative in Vienna stands for professional craftsmanship and reliable production infrastructure. As a local partner for national and international co-productions, we offer specialized services that fulfill regional spend requirements in Austria.
Our Services at a Glance:
Rental & Equipment: Wigs, beards, and hairpieces for historical and contemporary productions. Rental of professional makeup equipment, including mobile illuminated makeup mirrors.
Custom Wig Making (Postiche): Bespoke creation and knotting of wigs and hairpieces according to historical or modern specifications.
Studio & Production Space: Rental of our bright, refined atelier in Vienna-Breitensee as a temporary production office, makeup room, fitting location, or rehearsal space. The total space is approx. 40 m² (incl. kitchen and restroom) and accommodates up to 8 makeup workstations (6 fixed wall mirrors, 2 flexible setup mirrors).
On-Set Services: Available for hire as Key Makeup Artist and SFX Makeup Artist (special effects, prosthetics, trauma makeup, dummy creation, character design).
