Filming in Vienna generally requires a permit. Permits for filming on property owned by the Vienna City Administration must be applied for using the Vienna Film Commission's online tool.

Apply for a permit

No application via the Vienna Film Commission is required for filming on federal land or private property. Please contact the relevant contact persons directly.

Permits for photography on municipal land are issued directly by the relevant municipal department. Please contact the department directly for this. An application via the Vienna Film Commission is not required.
