Writer and producer Roland Hablesreiter has been developing feature films and series concepts with a focus on comedies, family entertainment and crime. 2024 he won the “Heldinnen in Serie Award” together with Polish screenwriter Agata Malesińska. His first feature as a writer “Summer on 3 Wheels” has premiered on ARTE and the ARD. He also writes for “Tatort”, the longest running and most established TV crime show in the German speaking territory.
Prior to his screenwriting career Roland worked as a line producer on international productions shot in Austria, such as “Covert Affairs” and “Grimm”, and co-produced the award-winning documentary “Tracking Edith”. Roland has spent most of his life in Vienna/Austria, but has also lived in Sydney and Tokyo. He writes in German and English.
