The Steinhof Gründe are a natural recreation area with numerous hiking trails, ponds, meadows, and a playground. The sloping meadows, which are ideal for flying kites, offer a view over the city. A special feature of the approximately 43-hectare area is its seamless transition into the Otto-Wagner-Areal with its listed pavilions and the Kirche am Steinhof. The recreation area is accessible by public transport via bus lines 46A and 46B to the Feuerwache Steinhof stop. Entrances and gates are located at the Feuerwache Steinhof and the Großes Schutzhaus Rosental. Access is also possible via the Otto-Wagner-Areal.
