Albertina - Eine Sammlung schreibt Geschichte
Back
"Albertina – A Collection Writes History" tells the story of the 250-year development of one of Europe's most important art collections. The film follows a newly delivered work as it makes its way through the stages of everyday museum life – from the first opening of the transport crate to its exhibition on the walls of the Albertina. At the same time, the story unfolds of the founding couple, Duke Albert and Archduchess Marie Christine, whose passion laid the foundation stone. Interviews with restorers, curators, and artists shed light on the significance of the collection today and in the future. The result is a vivid portrait that unites past and present in a single image.
