When her father suffers a stroke and goes from being the strong head of the family to a severely disabled person, Viki Kühn picks up her camera and begins a search for the past, the present, and what may lie ahead. "Mein halber Vater" tells the story, in a humorous way, of a Viennese family struck by misfortune. A family that struggles, despairs, whose wounds eventually begin to heal, who learns to accept, who encounters letting go, and who also seeks to find hope again.
