Wenn das Licht gefriert
Elisabeth lives a quiet life with her husband Friedrich, coping with the strain of his dementia with great patience. Her son Philipp and daughter-in-law Sarah support her, while her daughter Valerie has built a life for herself in London. When Friedrich watches a TV report with Elisabeth about the murder of young Anna 26 years ago, he suddenly starts talking about details that have never been made public. Elisabeth tries to repress what she has heard. The man with whom she has spent almost her entire life cannot possibly have anything to do with the death of Anna, her daughter's best friend, can he? But Harald Lorenz, the investigator at the time, now retired, hinted in the program that he has new information.
Elisabeth cannot talk to anyone about her terrible suspicion. Not even with Friedrich's brother Norbert, from whose disco Anna never returned home. Torn between repression and the desire for clarification, she begins to investigate—much to the displeasure of Anna's mother Monika, who was a friend of the family before the murder. Elisabeth finds herself sinking deeper and deeper into a vortex of doubts and suspicions.
