Funding Vienna

The Vienna Film Incentive supports international fictional and non-fictional film projects—including feature films, series, and documentaries—for cinema, TV, and VoD platforms with a minimum length of 45 minutes. Funding is available for productions that are intended for international distribution and involve at least two days of actual filming in Vienna.

The funding rate is up to 30% of eligible production costs, with a maximum funding amount of EUR 400,000. International productions with total production costs of at least EUR 4 million for feature films and at least EUR 500,000 for documentaries are eligible for funding. Feature films must demonstrate at least EUR 200,000 in eligible production costs, and documentaries at least EUR 80,000. Austrian or Viennese service production companies that have been commissioned by a foreign production company to carry out filming in Vienna are eligible to apply.
