Located right next to Vienna Central Station, the Hotel Schani Wien Hauptbahnhof combines urban life with a relaxed Viennese atmosphere. Since opening in 2015, the Komarek family has focused on blending traditional Viennese everyday culture with modern city life: elements of the Greissler style, the Bassena and the Thonet façade meet contemporary design and open communal spaces. The 135 rooms spread across six floors range from compact city rooms to spacious maisonette rooms on the top floor. A key feature is the Schanigarten – a green oasis of calm in the heart of the city. The lobby, too, has been deliberately designed not as a traditional reception area, but as an open meeting place for travellers, co-workers and local residents. The offering is complemented by versatile spaces: stylish co-working areas, seminar rooms – some with direct access to the garden – and two rooftop spaces with views over the city. Everything is designed to be functional, open and uncomplicated – a venue that authentically reflects the character of urban Vienna.
