House 4 – Semmelweis Clinic Vienna Historic supply wing, currently in interim use At the heart of the listed pavilion ensemble of the former Semmelweis Clinic in Vienna's 18th district, House 4 — once the clinic's supply and service wing — is now home to the Kunst- und Kulturverein Semmelweisklinik. A place with two layers: bright, generous studios and event spaces sit alongside untouched raw fabric from over a century of history. Beyond the rooms listed on semmelweisklinik.at, the building holds far more than what's visible online: attics in their original, unrestored state, sprawling cellar labyrinths winding beneath the entire site, plus stairwells, corridors, and facades carrying a full century of patina. A setting that shifts between morbid charm, institutional austerity, and urban wilderness — rarely found this unfiltered, right in the middle of Vienna. Film crews have shot with us before. We know what a shoot needs: short paths, uncomplicated coordination, flexible scheduling. Whether it's the cellar labyrinth, the attic, or a former clinic corridor — on request, we'll open up spaces that aren't (yet) on our website.
