The former Biedermeier cemetery, which is a listed historical monument, served as a burial site between 1784 and 1874. St. Marx Cemetery contains numerous historical tombs, including the grave of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. A special visual feature is the lush lilac blossoms in April and May: nowhere else in Vienna do lilacs grow in such density in such a small space. The total area is around 60,000 square meters. The immediately adjacent Southeast Tangent must be taken into account when assessing the background noise.
