Taborstraße, 1020
Location number: 1020004
Taborstraße is one of the main thoroughfares in the second district, running north from the Danube Canal to Nordbahnstraße. Its 2.5 kilometers are home to a wide variety of buildings and architectural styles. Right next to the Danube Canal is the Design Tower, which stands out above all for its modern glass facade. Along the street are numerous apartment buildings from the Wilhelminian era. Between the rows of houses are also old churches, some of which stand out more than others. However, you will also pass various municipal buildings from the second half of the 20th century on the sometimes very long straights. Examples include the buildings at numbers 53 and 100, and the Stella-Klein-Löw-Hof. At its furthest point, Tabor Street runs past the site of the former Nordwestbahnhof railway station.
